Major Harrison is a former Marine and served in Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He is a 20-year veteran of law enforcement, and has served in numerous capacities including the jail, field operations, civil process, and professional standards.
Major Harrison holds an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University. He is a graduate of the 13th class of the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College, and is a Certified Jail Manager having successfully completed the American Jail Association’s Jail Manager Certification Program in 2007.
He is active in several professional organizations and is currently serving on the Georgia Jail Association’s board of directors as a region five representative. Major Harrison also serves on the law enforcement subcommittee of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency’s Regional All Hazard Council.
Major Harrison is married with two children. He is an avid sports fan and automobile enthusiast.
