Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources Blood Drive
Wednesday, July 22 from 7 am – 1 pm
684 Winder Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30045

The DWR is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday July 22nd in their training room from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm.  They’ve set a goal of 70 units of blood for this drive. About 4 million people need blood each year in the United States.  That’s one person every two seconds and the overwhelming majority would die without it.  Healthy donors are the only source of blood.  There is no substitute.  If all eligible donors gave twice a year, there would probably never be shortages.  During the summer months of June, July and August, on average, about two fewer donors give blood at each Red Cross blood drive. This could add up to more than 100,000 fewer donations and could lead to a shortage in the blood supply.  You can schedule your appointment online by clicking here and using the sponsor code gcwater or you can contact William Watkins at 678-376-6873 or
