Mark your calendars for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville on Saturday, October 11 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. This annual event is sponsored by the Gwinnett Bar Association and the Gwinnett Police Chief’s Association and features lunch, family activities and door prizes. The event is free for all Gwinnett County law enforcement officers and their families, so don’t miss out on this fun filled day!

BRAKES Free Teen Driver Training
Saturday, October 18 & Sunday, October19 from 8 am – 12 pm or 1 pm – 5 pm
Atlanta Dragway – Commerce
Got a teen driver? Our Beat the Heat team invites you to bring your teen driver to a free pro-active driving school for advanced driver training. This four hour course is designed to improve skill and confidence behind the wheel and features six hands on driving courses. The course is designed for teenagers (ages 15-19) who already have a learner’s permit or driver’s license and have at least 30 hours of driving experience. Register at http://www.putonthebrakes.org/.
